lyrics

Blue suited policeman stands alone in a Japanese town
He craves a cigarette as I suck back on mine and write these words down
A local man approaches him and asks for a light and what he'sdoing there
And I gaze on from my cafe window wondering whats going on here?

Love ill write you a postcard from Japan
I'll make sure that I write down all I can
Tell you I miss you
And i'll be coming home soon

Long distance phone calls never seem the same as biro does on card
Picture the picture with a tear in your eye of a Japanese lake in a park
A local boy asks me to post it for me if I give him all my change
So I agree and watch him post it and I hope it reached you sound and safe
